ABOUT “the tax grinder”

Tax prep from individuals to self-employed professionals, freelancers to small businesses, and certain industries.

Andrew D. Sullivan, EA:

I’m an Enrolled Agent, not a CPA. What is the difference? EAs and CPAs can represent you in front of the IRS. While a CPA credential is issued at the state level, the EA credential is the only one to be issued by the U.S. Treasury, not a state board. I deal strictly with taxes and the tax code. After we receive our license, we need to complete 72 hours of continuing education during our 3-year renewal cycle. Even when tax season ends, just like a head coach, we are always preparing for next season.
